For over two years, lorries have affected residents through noise and disturbance, careless driving, untold damage to roads and verges, safety of pedestrian and equine users and destroying the nature of the village environs. This is on top of the unregulated mass tipping of spoil and waste.
Since 2020, the Parish Council has been lobbying all of the agencies to find a solution for having these lorries and the illegal tipping stopped and are frustrated that, despite this being taken as far up as to the Secretary of State, by our local MP Gordon Henderson, the lorries continue.
The EA are the legal lead for the case and are keen for information on the lorries, as this helps to build up the picture of the massive disturbance they cause. Information on dates, times and number plates will all help to provide evidence, and these can be reported on:
